I was actually expecting them to go with someone with experience managing in the majors. Hopefully Redmond works out for a while.

Source #Marlins hire Mike Redmond, 3-year deal. First reported by @JonHeymanCBS. Marlins also have hired Perry Hill as infield/1B coach.

Glad to see the Hill rehiring is official.

Oh, I must have missed that.
Did they interview any black people?
Lloyd McClendon
That's pretty racist, bro.

Who knows, maybe after a losing streak he'll have the team take batting practice naked and lead us to the World Series.

The interview for manager probably involved many Yes or No questions. Redmond answered Yes the most times, so he got hired.

Kind of like hiring a lapdog for the FO.
Hopefully he be able to stand up to management and keep his job

This team isn't going anywhere with the actual roster , so it doesn't matter what manager they get

I like Red as a selection. Solid choice by the Marlins, and now let's see who winds up on his staff outside of Espada, Cornelius and Hill.
