Relax. He's getting 10y/200m deal for sure.
Could be. Just not here. Did you miss this part?
"In other words, the "breaking point" Stanton sees approaching probably will become a part of the Marlins' business plan at the end of the 2013 season. The strapping outfielder will be eligible for arbitration next fall, and if he stays healthy and gets enough pitches to hit to continue the upward graph of what eventually could be a Hall of Fame career, he is probably going to be in line for enough money to push the Marlins to entertain multi-player offers for the 23-year-old star, especially given that Stanton is not likely to sign a long-term deal to stay in Miami.
For the time being, the Marlins are not planning to trade Stanton. They also have not been in contact with Stanton's representatives about a long-term deal."

They'll claim he has a bad attitude or isn't a team player or some sh*t.

I love Giancarlo for speaking his mind but now the idiots will have their excuse for not signing him.
They'll claim he has a bad attitude or isn't a team player or some sh*t.
.
It's not like anyone would buy that sh*t, they could say he was the second coming of Hanley for all I care. If they trade him I'll burn every piece of marlins gear I have and never show my face at that stadium again until Loria is forced out.

The media is behind Stanton 100% and considering how eloquently/accurate stated his statement is, that would reason would never fly. The marlins won't sign because well they don't want to sign him.

Actually, the media is behind anybody not in the Marlins FO. So is most of baseball.

It's obvious what was more important to the team.

Yes, some of you might say "wow Dr B, that's kinda f***ed up to wish upon someone. This is just baseball ... blah blah blah..." but nah, f*** that. Genuinely a terrible person. Pisses enough people off man.
The world is a better place without Jeffrey Loria. Even if it's something as silly as baseball.
