For those who are in the area it can be a fun time- free hot dogs and you can play catch on the field.

For those who don't--- don't bother attending.

Actually, it's not a bad time.  Talking to mature and rational fans of other teams can be pretty interesting, especially after only really being able to talk baseball on sports boards.  Last year they also opened up the windows an hour earlier than on line purchases for the single game sales.  Good way to get good/any seats for those expected sell out games, like the BoSox.  IMO, not a waste of  2 or 3 hours on a Saturday morning.  If nothing else, it gets the baseball juices flowing.

Nope. It's a South Florida thing, as I have always referred to it.  It's not one county vs another.  Never has been. I prefer to leave the chest beating for others because I know when things don't pan out the way I want them to it can only lead to future ridicule of those that bring up the facts I was actually wrong about in my predictions.
