Really good game from Pierre. A triple, a single, reached on an error, scored two runs, got an RBI, played solid D. It's the first game but cool.

 

Of course cool for Silverio too on the homer. Mahoney also came inches away from a HR.

yes brad hand does suck. shows flashes but the schmuck cant find the zone. Just like Sean West.

Yeah too many guys battling for that #5 spot to come in and walk 4, Hand has good stuff but he's never going too make it at this rate.

I'm willing to bet Mahoney got a butt chewing on that hit.  He was into his home run trot right out of the box for a stand up double.  It looked like it might go, but it certainly didn't look like a sure thing.

 

JP did look pretty good.  Tried to bunt twice (fouled back) in the 1st before he laced one for that triple.  The single was a bunt he pushed over a charging Freese's head.  Just showed his normal hustle.

 

FWIW...Samson, Beinfest, and Hill were all at the game.  But not down behind the plate in their usual spot.  They had one of the boxes.  I don't ever remember seeing them up there before.
